Janet Rees

I come from a musical family and have always been surrounded by music. I started singing in chapel where my mother played the piano. I think my love of harmony came from there. I used to practise singing along with the different parts every Sunday. That's where I learned the Welsh hymn "Calon Lan" (which is the last song on my album.) I wanted to record it as I used to sing it in chapel. I managed to coax my mother into the studio to play the piano and on the last chorus she even sings with me, along with my daughter.
